Описание: Умеренно ветвящееся растение, небольшое, от распростертого до частично поднимающего свои округлые зеленые сегменты, достигающие каждый 4-5 см в длину. Ареолы близко расположены. В ареоле до 15 коричневых жестких колючек неравной длины (максимально - до 4см), с возрастом сереющих, а также некоторое количество щетинок.
Цветки колесовидные, оранжевые, до 4 см длиной. Цветочная трубка околючена.
Примечание: Очень изменчивый вид.
